Undergraduate Study in the Department

Undergraduate Teaching and Learning

The Department provides excellent undergraduate teaching and learning experiences for students in the science and health science programs by:
  1. Continuing to develop an excellent BSc program in Anatomy & Structural Biology.
  2. Being actively involved in curricular development, implementation and delivery for all programs in which the Department is involved.
  3. Maintaining an excellent and versatile Departmental staff for delivery or research-informed teaching in all programs to which we contribute.
  4. Providing teaching that takes cognisance of Mäori perspectives.
  5. Developing excellent systems of communication and decision making and administrative processes to support Departmental teaching that ensure efficient use of physical and human resources.
  6. Providing optimal physical resources (space, equipment & IT) to facilitate excellence in teaching and learning.

Dr Justin Keogh Bond University Gold Coast, Queensland
" Weight loss in older adults benefits of exercise"

Dr Keogh's research focuses on understanding the acute stresses, and the chronic adaptations resulting from a range of physical activities. His research focuses on athletic populations and older adults, where both general and specific therapeutic physical activity may have differing effects and various motives and barriers to continual participation.
